Visiting the Cinque Terre in three days
On this page:
Without being in a hurry and at the same time without spending a lot of time visiting the attractions of the Cinque Terre it will take 3 days. This is the ideal length of time for visiting all five villages, giving you time to admire the architecture and walk some of the wonderful trails of the Cinque Terre. If you also want to unwind on the beach, visit the towns and cities close to the Cinque Terre and do some trekking on the longer trails, then you will need to stay longer, but you will not be bored!
If you want to visit the Blue trail, it is advisable to walk the all the sections that are open in one day, because you will need to purchase the Cinque Terre Card (price in 2024: 7.50 euro). Attention! Prices are dynamic and increase in summer or on weekends. Read more here.

Where is the best place to stay?
You will find a detailed analysis of this dilemma on this website. The number one rule for a stay in the Cinque Terre is to book in advance. It’s better to cancel the reservation in the event of any changes to your program than pay a lot for a room at the last minute when there is not much availability. See more information on the page “Where to stay”.
How to save money with the train
The special all-inclusive ticket, Cinque Terre Card, is very popular. There are two types of tickets, quite similar to each other: the first includes access to the short walking trails and local bus rides and the second includes the same services plus train travel. Therefore, if you expect to move often between the villages each day, it’s better to purchase the Cinque Terre Card. It can mean quite a saving for you!
