Where to leave your luggage in the Cinque Terre

As you travel through Italy, you might stop for a day in the Cinque Terre. Of course, it is much more convenient to stay there overnight so you have more time to see one of the most beautiful places on the Levante coast of the Riviera. But if you are passing through by train, have only a little time and don’t want to walk around the Cinque Terre with your luggage, you can leave it in the special local luggage storage (updated to 2024).
Luggage storage at the La Spezia train station
Luggage storage is located close to the toilets in La Spezia station, open from 8 am to 8 pm every day of the year. Cost for 1 piece: 5 euro for one day.
Attention! The luggage storage of La Spezia was closed, but it was reopened in July 2017 and it is open now.
Luggage storage at the Vernazza train station
Look for the tourist office at the Vernazza station. The cost for 1 piece is 10 euro/day (1 euro/hour). There is also a porter service for luggage in the village. For 3 euro they will carry any bag for you to your room or apartment in Vernazza. Open from 8 am to 7 pm (also until 9 pm upon request).
Luggage storage at the Monterosso tourist office
Not far from the station you will find the "Pro Loco" (marked on the map). You can leave your luggage here for 8 euro/24 h (5 euro/5 h) for a large suitcase and 5 euro/24 h (3 euro/5 h) for a small backpack. It is usually open from 8 am to 7 pm.
